Origins
The Ratt Shakk first appeared in 2018 at a Live Roleplay game called The World Went Dark. Originally invited as cast for the game, a late cancellation by the caterer forced the organisers to ask us to step in. From there, not only did we return the follwing year but more small system organisers invited us to cater for their games.
When Covid forced lockdown in the UK, event catering was originally set aside for other plans. However, in 2022 a local system asked us to return. Small events remained our staple whilst we supported full time employment elsewhere, until April 2026, when the decision was made to go full time.
Meet the Team
Tom Coxon (He/Him)
Founder and Director
Tom is an experienced chef of over 30 years, ranging from gastro pubs to Michelin star. Along side this he also has over 30 years in tabletop and live action roleplay. A big fan of flavour, his drive is to produce good food for all.
Don Husted (He/Him)
Director
Don has over 10 years experience in customer facing roles, with over 20 years in tabletop and live roleplay. Process driven, he strives for quality and expedient service.
Violet Bloom (She/They)
Marketing Manager
Violet has 5+ years in customer facing roles, with over 10 years in tabletop and live roleplay. A welcoming smile, she's happy to serve you a hot meal with a side of sass.
